Saving Capital is a political drama that follows a group of idealistic economists and activists who uncover a conspiracy threatening to collapse the global financial system. As they race to expose the truth, they’re forced to question whether capitalism can be saved—or if it was doomed from the start. The film blends suspense and moral tension, exploring the price of progress in a world built on profit.
6:30 – Waiting room opens
7:00 – Brief introduction by Tim Louis, followed by the showing
8:15 – Discussion and guided conversation
These events will be recorded.

FireSide Film nights are a free online series of documentaries and talks offered by Tim Louis. Tim has been involved in Vancouver’s civic politics for over 40 years and has continuously pushed for social change. His entire life is dedicated to social justice and change for all people. Some of his accomplishments include co-founding the BC Coalition of the Disabled, lobbying for the establishment of Translink’s HandyDART services, and co-founding the Public Interest Advocacy Centre.
On the fourth Friday of every month, we gather online for a community experience of fun and a thought-provoking exploration of the important issues that face our world, society, and human family. These nights are intended to create a community of practice, which is a group of people who engage in a process of collective learning. By engaging in this community of practice, we can all learn how to collectively work towards a better world and understand the issues currently facing us.
